Formula champion Lewis Hamilton broke Michael Schumacher's record by winning one of the events for the eighth time -

Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton equaled Michael Schumacher's record for the most wins on any single track by winning the Hungarian Grand Prix for the eighth time.
Hamilton's win from pole position was easy as second-placed Max Versatappen was nine seconds behind him.
British driver Hamilton's 86th win in Formula One is now five wins away from Germany's legendary driver Schumacher's 91-win record.
Schumacher won the French Grand Prix eight times. Hamilton first won here in 2007.
He also won his first win with Mercedes in Hungary in 2013. Versatappen also performed well and placed Hamilton's Mercedes partner Valtari Bottas in third place. Bottas started from second place.

Five states have a major contribution in spreading solid waste waste in the country.
It is the state which has the highest GSDP.
The biggest reason behind this is the passive solid waste management scheme of the local bodies of these states.
These states include Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Karnataka.
According to the SBM Urban Dashboard report, Maharashtra produces the highest 22080 tonnes of waste per day.
A total of 74 million tonnes of waste is released in the country every year, out of which only 43 million tonnes are stored. The remaining 31 million tonnes of waste is untreated.
The worst situation in the treatment of waste is in Delhi and West Bengal where 20% and 19% waste segregation works respectively.
According to Plast India Foundation, plastics in India is growing at the rate of 16%, which is 10% in China and 2.5% in UK.

The provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, which give new heights to consumer rights, will come into effect from today. It will replace the Consumer Protection Act, 1986.
Under the new law, a consumer can register a case in any consumer court.
Provisions like fines and jails on misleading advertisements have also been added to it. For the first time, online business has also been brought under its purview.
From July 20, the government has issued a notification to implement it. After its implementation, action will be started immediately on the consumer complaint.
The PIL or PIL can now be filed in the Consumer Forum. It was not so in the earlier law
The new law also includes online and teleshopping companies.

The new law provides for strict action on deceptive advertisements. Under this law, consumer disputes will be resolved in a timely, effective and expeditious manner.


The new law also provides for the formation of a Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) along with consumer courts. Its main objective will be to protect the rights of consumers.
The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) will have the power to impose fines on those who create misleading or false advertisements (such as Lakshmi Dhan Varsha Yantra) and impose up to 2 years of imprisonment.
If a person or company repeats this crime again and again, they can face a fine of Rs 50 lakh and imprisonment up to 5 years.
The Central Consumer Protection Authority will have an investigation wing to investigate violations of consumer regulations. The CCPA will be headed by the Director General.
Hearing of cases up to one crore rupees in Consumer Forum, cases ranging from one crore to 10 crores in State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and above 10 crores in National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.

Now 2% plots will be reserved for transgenders in residential schemes to be taken out in urban bodies.
The Urban Development Department has issued new orders in this regard by amending the rules.
Under this, allotment in any urban scheme and 2% plots in its lottery will be reserved for transgenders.
This order will be applicable to all development authorities and UITs. These orders were issued by amending the Improvement Trust Urban Land Disposal and Execution Act 2020.
In this, any transgender whose annual income is up to ₹ 1200000 will be eligible.

Under the Chief Minister's Public Participation Development Scheme, ICT computer labs will be opened in 511 government schools in 13 districts of the state
Of this, 25% will be borne by the public cooperation and 75% by the state government.
In fact till now ICT labs in more than 9000 government schools are being operated with 100% government grant.

The scheme was launched in the year 2016-17 to promote basic resources through public participation in schools of secondary education
